LA MAISON BEAUMONT
History ~ Wine ~ Beauty
The Langeudoc region is arguably France at its very best, offering stunning beaches and coastlines, wonderful wine domaines, and a rich history featuring beautifully preserved chateaux -- all in a climate with 300+ days of sunshine per year.
La Maison Beaumont is named for the nearby la Montagne noire in the Minervois region of the Languedoc and is a perfectly situated pool home on the edge of the charming village called Trausse (pronounced Trohss). It's a 20 minute drive to the UNESCO world heritage site at Carcassonne and 20 minutes drive the other way to Minerve (one of France's most beautiful villages). There's a wealth of excellent wineries and restaurants close by, and with only a 50 minute drive to Narbonne and the beaches of the Mediterranean, La Maison Beaumont is perfectly situated to explore this exceptional part of France.
Hi, we're Alan and Leah Macpherson, the Canadian owners of La Maison Beaumont. We are Francophiles who have realized our 20 plus year dream of owning a village property in the Languedoc!
Built of local Caunes-Minervois stone, La Maison Beaumont looks every bit a charming historical Minervois property. Once inside you'll note a state of the art modern layout, a gleaming chef's kitchen and all the best mod-cons that only a newer build can provide.
Some detail: 1500 sq ft / 3 bed, 2.5 bath, sleeps 8, on a 1/2 acre gated property.

“La Maison Beaumont has everything you need for a super holiday. The owners were in contact by email prior to our visit with really helpful information about the house and surrounding area. They also were in touch during our stay to check all ok. Peter, who manages the property for the owners, met us on arrival and helpfully showed us round the house. He was able to be contacted during our stay if we needed anything. The shady outside area is great for eating and barbecuing. The pool was well maintained and a great size. Inside the house has tasteful decor and furnishings. The kitchen is very well equipped and the full sized fridge and separate freezer were ideal. The house is situated at the edge of a small, picturesque village which has one local shop and restaurant. You can walk to these in 5 minutes. There are larger shops and supermarkets in neighbouring villages , a few minutes drive away. Would recommend this property and Minervois region."

Great House, Great Location!!!
After a 2 week stay in “La maison Beaumont” with 4 adults and 4 kids I have one word to say “Fantastic” the house is very comfortable for 8pers. The proximity of shops, restaurants, day trips is ideal. Everyone enjoyed their stay. You have activities for everyday at very reasonable distance (Gorges and lakes with swimming activities, visits to Medieval castles, great walks through the historical excavation site of marbre de Caunes, beautiful caves (Gouffre Géant de Cabrespine). We enjoyed some nice meals along the Canal du Midi an in local villages. Welcome by Peter was perfect, always available when we had questions and the owners are very friendly, what you see from the pictures and read on their web site is what you get !!!

“Photos et descriptif parfaitement conformes à l’annonce. Très jolie maison au calme et sans vis-à-vis, de quoi bien se ressourcer. Accueil très sympathique de Peter, le gérant. Excellent contact avec Alan et Leah, très soucieux du bien être de leurs locataires et merci encore pour leur délicate attention à notre arrivée. Maison très bien située à proximité de Carcassonne avec de très belles choses à voir dans les environs."
